GO Battle League: Twilight Trails begins Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).
Following the debuts of Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, and Mega Greninja, Mega-Evolved Pokémon are becoming a larger part of the GO Battle League. Mega Edition formats will appear throughout Pokémon GO: Twilight Trails and continue in future Seasons.
Beginning with Pokémon GO Fest: Mega Finale, select Mega-Evolved Pokémon can use an additional Charged Attack regardless of their Mega Level, opening up new options in the GO Battle League.
Mega-Evolved Pokémon will also be eligible for the first time in the Pokémon GO Championship Series at the 2026 Pokémon Latin America International Championships.
In upcoming Seasons, the CP of Mega-Evolved Pokémon will automatically be reduced temporarily so that they can participate in the Great League: Mega Edition and Ultra League: Mega Edition. CP will only be reduced for the duration of the battle and will return to the original CP after completion of the battle.
The following leagues will begin and end at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) on the dates listed below.
(*) 4× Stardust from win rewards (this does not include end-of-set rewards)
Weeks marked with an asterisk award 4× Stardust from win rewards, making them the best periods to combine rank progression with Stardust farming. The Mega Catch Cup closes the Season and only allows eligible Pokémon caught during Twilight Trails.
Every Thursday during Twilight Trails features a Daily Discovery bonus for GO Battle League players.
You can encounter the following Pokémon once per Season at the designated ranks.
If you’re lucky, some may be encountered in their Shiny forms.
Throughout the Season, you may encounter the following Pokémon at various ranks:
The active five-star Raid Boss becomes available as a possible reward encounter.
After reaching Rank 20, the Pokémon currently appearing in five-star raids may be encountered as a GO Battle League reward.
A free battle-themed Timed Research pass will be available in the in-game shop once the Season begins.

This season’s avatar items are inspired by Ryme, the Gym Leader of Montenevera Gym in the Paldea region.
