The Samajwadi Party (SP) will release its election manifesto for upcoming 2027 Assembly polls titled “Jan-Man Manifesto,” on November 26, 2026, coinciding with Constitution Day, a date of adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949.

The party president Akhilesh Yadav has announced that the party plans to release the proposed document, called the “Jan-Man Manifesto,” which will highlight outreach to backward classes, Dalits and minority communities.

“The manifesto will focus upon socially and economically marginalized section of the society, that includes women, backward classes, Scheduled Castes (SCs), Minorities and other neglected sections of the society. We will also include separate documents for women, youth and a manifesto on law and order, it will include our commitment to various groups of people,” told Alok Ranjan, a former U.P. Chief Secretary, who closely worked with the party on policy issues.

After the release of this main manifesto, the party in coming weeks, will release region specific manifestos or district centric manifestos.

On asked about the manifesto release coinciding with the Constitution Day, Nasser Salim, the SP spokesperson said, “On Constitution Day, we reaffirm our faith in the Republic and in the sovereign will of the people. This manifesto is not merely a political document but a public covenant inspired by the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. It reflects our commitment to the constitutional empowerment of PDA and every citizen of India,”.

“Samajwadi Party firmly believes in the sanctity of the Indian Constitution which defines India as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic. The SP has always stood for the fundamental rights and duties as enshrined in the constitution,” said Ram Pratap Singh, the SP spokesperson.

Analyst point out the release of manifesto coinciding, with Constitution Day, highlights outreach towards Scheduled Castes (SCs). “The date is significant as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who is regarded as icon from the SC community was leading figure in the drafting of the Constitution, we should assume it as outreach towards Dalits, who are numerically strong, the selection of date will give further weight to the social justice plank of the Samajwadi Party,” said Asad Rizvi, a Lucknow based political analyst.
