The Tamil Nadu government on Friday transferred several senior IAS officers and District Collectors.
Mangat Ram Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, has been appointed Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (POWERFIN). He was previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department.
J. Jayakanthan, former Secretary of the Water Resources Department, has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of the Poompuhar Shipping Corporation Limited.
E. Saravanavelraj, former Secretary of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, has been appointed Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited. He will also hold full additional charge as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Magnesite Limited, Salem, until further orders.
P. N. Sridhar, Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, has been appointed Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation.
S. P. Karthikaa, Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA).
E. Sundaravallai, Commissioner of Collegiate Education, has been posted as Special Secretary to the Public and Rehabilitation Department.
Dr. R. Vaithinathan, former Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, has been appointed Collector of Theni district. Collectors of several other districts were also transferred.
