The Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions in Central Bengaluru in view of a protest organised by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) at Freedom Park on Wednesday over an FIR filed against the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.

The protest will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on September 2, with a large number of participants expected to gather at Freedom Park. The traffic police have advised motorists to take alternative routes to avoid congestion.

Vehicular movement from Freedom Park Junction towards Kanakadasa Circle and vice versa will be temporarily restricted, and no vehicles will be allowed on the stretch. The traffic police have also banned parking of all types of vehicles from Khode Junction to Maharani Junction, as well as on Y. Ramachandra Road, Kalidas Road, Palace Road and K.G. Road.

The police have appealed to motorists to cooperate with the restrictions and use alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic movement during the protest.
