The 20-time Grand Slam champion's fans celebrated his 45th birthday on Saturday, August 8 by sharing some of his most memorable moments on the court. A day later Federer took to Instagram to reveal that he spent his 45th birthday with his family in Rovinj.

In his carousel post, the Swiss stalwart posted some candid moments along with the serene beauty of the western coast of the Istrian Peninsula and captioned his post:

As Roger Federer gave his admirers a rare sneak peek into his personal life, his pictures didn't involve his family members. Federer's posts revolved around nature and his personal moments, which included cycling and swimming in the sea.

Still, Federer mentioned his family, which includes former WTA tennis player and his wife Mirka Vavrinec, whom he married in 2009. The couple has four children, including twin daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, and twin sons, Leo and Lenny.

Roger Federer's retirement at Laver Cup is still felt by many. When he bid adieu to the sport that he cherished, he was overwhelmed by tears and so were his wife and his greatest rival Rafael Nadal.

Three years later in 2025, Federer admitted that retirement was very difficult for him. While talking about the twilight phase of his career, he confessed that the knee had been bothering him and he knew that it was time for him to hang up his boots.

Since hanging up his boots after the Laver Cup in September 2022, Roger Federer is still one of the leading ambassadors of tennis. The Swiss icon recently made an appearance during the latter stage of the 2026 Wimbledon.
