Hasbro And Nintendo Partner Up On New Legend Of Zelda Toys

Hasbro has announced a new licensing partnership with Nintendo to produce toys based on The Legend of Zelda.

This new multi-year collaboration is set to commence in 2027, but the first official reveal actually isn't far off at all. Three 6" scale figures will be shown off at the San Diego Comic-Con taking place from 23rd-26th July 2026.

As for what these might be, we don't know. However, we could probably hazard a guess and say that they're likely to be Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, though whether these are just generic designs based on the overall series or something more akin to the upcoming movie is up in the air.

Here's what Billy Lagor, President Toys and Board Games at Hasbro, had to say:

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery.

"By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”

The Legend of Zelda Movie is set to release on 30th April 2027 and stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda. Meanwhile, Nintendo is reviving what might be the greatest and most influential Zelda entry in the series with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 later this year.

Nintendo Life’s resident horror fanatic, when he’s not knee-deep in Resident Evil and Silent Hill lore, Ollie likes to dive into a good horror book while nursing a lovely cup of tea. He also enjoys long walks and listens to everything from TOOL to Chuck Berry.

If this is anything like the toys and merchandise for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, this might lead to some leaks of what to expect from the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie.

I'm willing to bet that the toys will be from the movie. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Hopefully this means good news for a possible Baldurs Gate 3 port ❤️ (Hasbro owns the rights to that franchise).

Ooh! I might pick up some if they have lots of articulation in them. That’d make them good for stop motion.

I feel like Doug Bowser might have had a hand in this - as now he's on the director board at Hasbro.

Would definitely get these if they turn out well. If they’re realistic, live-action movie representations though… nah

Wow, this makes it slightly more likely that we can get a Zelda Magic set... Pease WotC, I'm begging you!

Maybe we will get a some kind of Transformers X Legend of Zelda figure.

That image looks like the f4f statue. I doubt the toys will be that detailed.

That being said, I’m good. I have enough figma and statues kicking around my place.

Ehhh Hasbro’s toys haven't been that great over the past decade.

They are gonna be ugly.....atleast they won't be jakks pacific levels of ugly

All I want to know is when we’ll get to see OoT gameplay footage. When do you reckon, Gamescom, TGS?

I keep forgetting the Zelda film is happening. Probably for the best

@Sarkos Either that or Dungeon and Dragons Legend of Zelda campaign setting.

Hasbro... Transformers... Now I'm wondering what a guardian explosion directed by Michael Bay would look like. It would probably have way too many product placements.

Maybe we can even get BG3 on Switch 2 and see what all the fuss is about.

For anyone that thinks this is a good idea, you are fooling yourselves!

2 - reused body parts that won't look right on other figures.

5 - $35 (usd) prices for figures with very little accessories.

If we don't get a My Little Epona figure we've failed as a society.

@Spider-Kev 1 - lack of detailed paint applications.Depends on the line.

2 - reused body parts that won't look right on other figures.Depends on the line, really only Marvel Legends

5 - $35 (usd) prices for figures with very little accessories. It's a wider swing than this, some are $50 and even worse.

7 - items only available at conventionsAll companies do this.

9 - items only available at select retailersAll companies do this.
