Nawada Sadar Hospital escape: Bihar theft accused flees during treatment
The escaped prisoner has been identified as Bunty Asgar Malik, son of Alauddin Malik, a resident of the Dhamoul police station area. He is an accused who had been arrested in a theft case before being sent to jail just two days ago.
According to police, Malik was admitted to Nawada Sadar Hospital after his health deteriorated in custody. At around 4:50 pm on July 17, he allegedly seized an opportunity amid the rush inside the emergency ward and fled from the hospital.
CCTV footage reportedly shows the prisoner sprinting out of the emergency ward while a constable assigned to guard him chases from behind. Despite the pursuit, the accused managed to evade the security personnel and escaped from the hospital premises.
Police have launched raids at multiple locations to trace and arrest the fugitive.
